This year I’ve had a goal to take better care of my skin. If you’ve been following along this year, you’ve seen a variety of posts on using high quality products to help with my skin care and beauty in general. I have posts on the proper way to wash your face and the best products for healthy hair. Today I am going to share my experience trying out Earth Mama Organics Deodorant and how much healthier it is for my skin.
Earth Mama Organics is a company that focuses on helping moms (and women in general) with providing effective, natural and organic products to use. They have items for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, girls with sensitive skin, and ladies that want to do a better job at keeping care of their body.
Their line of deodorant comes in 4 different flavors. Calming Lavender (my favorite), Bright Citrus, GingerAid, and a Natural Non-Scent. They sent me the 4 pack to try out and review, which was great because then I got to try out all of the different scents, PLUS they are travel size. I’ll definitely be taking these in my travel bags this summer. They also offer regular size deodorants if that is more your thing.
My favorite thing about their deodorants is that it is organic and doesn’t have a fragrance. I had no idea until I found Earth Mama that fragrance has thousands of chemicals that can be harmful to your skin and body. What goes on your body, also goes in your body. I had never thought of it in that way before. Our skin soaks in everything we put on. So if we use toxic products, we are actually harming the inside of our bodies. You can learn more about how their products are organic and other frequently asked questions they get here.
The deodorant worked well for me. I put it on in the morning and never felt any itching or irritation, which is another aspect that Earth Mama focuses on. It stayed on all day, which was great. It was a little sticky when I first put it on and was not as firm on the stick as other deodorants, but I felt that showed how natural the products were. I let it sit for about a minute before I put my shirt on and I was fine. After that I didn’t notice any stickiness.
Overall I would recommend these products and I am so happy that I was able to try them out! I’ve loved learning more about keeping my skin and body healthy this year. What are your favorite products that I should try next in my healthy skin year? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
