October, my (second) favorite month of the year! Kyle and I met in October and each year I am reminded of how we met as we go to corn mazes, football games, watch scary movies, and more….just like we did 5 years ago when we met. You can always read about how we met here.
We started the month off with hanging out at a local young women’s group where we chatted about modest fashion, how to find clothes at a good price, and styling tips. I always love going to young women groups and this one was really fun (even if my GPS took me far out of the way and I got lost for a good half hour).
We went to Cornbelly’s like we do every year with our group of friends and it was a blast. Kyle and I went to a pumpkin patch too for carving, but unfortunately the night we were going to carve pumpkins some of our friends ended up getting sick or being out of town, so we never ended up carving them.
I took a 10 day break from social media and it was honestly one of my favorite parts of October. I shared 10 things I learned while taking that break and you can read all about that here.
Kyle got us tickets to a Real Salt Lake soccer game through his work, which meant they were suite tickets, which were awesome! It brought back a lot of memories of when we were first married and we had season tickets.
We went to Disneyland one last time before our annual passes expire and it was really bittersweet. I loved being there, but it was also sad to think this was our last time using our passes. Of course we will go again next year, but it was still just kind of a bummer to think it was the end of a really fun year. We also went to the Utah vs UCLA football game while we were there, which was such a fun time. We love our Utah football, so it was great and we crushed them, so it was even better.
Halloween was fun! The day of we just watched a scary movie with friends and passed out candy. We dressed up as Alice and Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, and Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum. Yes, I did come up with the dogs costumes first and thought it was so funny that I had ours match theirs! haha
