I’ve been really behind on writing about our love story and come Christmas Break I will be spending a lot more of my time writing about how we met and our years dating. If you click here you can find what I’ve written so far and if you sign up for emails on my home page here, you can get updates on when I post more about our love story! Anyway as I was looking through some pictures recently, I realized I never posted our 2nd year anniversary pictures and they were so stinking cute that I had to share them.  It is only 4 months late, no big deal right?

The amazing Rachel Laukat Photography took our photos and I just cannot say enough amazing things about how well they turned out.  I met Rachel in college and haven’t seen her since we graduated, so it was fun to see her again and catch up a little bit.  She loves Disney just as much as I do, so of course I love the girl!

Rachel introduced me to Jessika, a make up artist who does a phenomenal job.  She was so fun to chat with too, and I was so in love with my make up that I didn’t want to take it off! Don’t worry guys, I did. 😉

There is a crazy story about this photoshoot that no one else probably cares about, but these “u + me” posts are meant for me to remember our weird and random adventures, so it’s going in the post! 😉 I went to get my make up done at 5, but ended up being a little bit late because parking at City Creek was an absolute nightmare.  Then I couldn’t find Jessika for at least 10 minutes, so I was running pretty far behind.  By the time we were done with makeup I was at least 30 minutes behind schedule, which when you want the light to be your friend for photos, is not a good thing.  I called Kyle and told him to just meet me at the bottom of Little Cottonwood Canyon, because that was where we were meeting Rachel.  Well Kyle had never been to Little Cottonwood Canyon before and so when I later told him I had kept going up the mountain to meet Rachel, he ended up driving up Big Cottonwood Canyon.  It was a crazy ordeal and luckily I was able to meet up with Rachel and take some photos while Kyle drove back down Big Cottonwood and made his way up Little Cottonwood.  I felt so bad for not explaining the difference to him.  Luckily he was a good sport and so was Rachel.  We were definitely running out of sunlight so we decided to drive down the canyon and meet Kyle closer to the bottom.  When we got there my phone (which has been randomly shutting off lately), just totally died and I had no way to call and get ahold of Kyle.  It was one thing after another!! Luckily when I went to call him on Rachel’s phone we saw his truck and we were able to get started.  We only had a small window of time to take photos, but Rachel impressed me so much with the amount of incredible photos she was able to capture in such a short amount of time.  I highly recommend her! She even put up with all our weird location errors and was just the best.  In the moment I was really sad that we weren’t able to have more time, but looking back it made for a fun memory and what better things in life than the memories we share with each other?
