At the end of January I was approached by ThredUp to share with my followers my “spring wardrobe cheat sheet”. I immediately began to think about what I would put on my cheat sheet and I am excited to share with you what I came up with! Hint: It includes a whole outfit for under $50 and a free $10 for you when you use my code (here)!!!
If I had to choose a few items that would be on my “must have” list for spring it would include: a cute pair of flats, a dark pair of skinny jeans, a versatile cardigan and a light jacket! So now this is where ThredUp comes in handy. Have you heard of them? They are a new company that sells high-quality secondhand (like new) women’s and kids’ fashion with a range of brands (from Old Navy to Kate Spade) that are always up to 90% off the original retail price.
As I began to see if I could find my “cheat sheet” items on their website at first I didn’t know where to start. I started scrolling through the pages and pages of women’s fashion and couldn’t believe the number of items that I could choose from. When I realized I could refine the search by size, brand, color, and price that greatly helped my search time. The first time I was on their website I didn’t see anything that really called my name, but the second time I got on I was in for a major treat. My word of advice, if you don’t find something you like the first time, keep searching a few days later. They are getting new items constantly and that helps to give you new options frequently.
Now here is my favorite part, showing you what I found and for how cheap!
American Eagle Outfitters Skinny Jeans – $6 (compare at $45)
Seriously I couldn’t believe I found a pair of jeans that are normally $45 for only $6! I was a little worried about how they would fit, but they fit great! They are a little shorter than I normally like (I normally get a long size from this company), but for spring I love to roll up my jeans anyway, so it works out great!
Old Navy Lace Tank Top – $2.96 (compare at $12.50)
Having a lace tank top for spring is such a great item for layering. You can wear it alone or throw on a cardigan for those cooler days. I also love the lace details and the pretty pink color.
American Eagle Outfitters Cardigan – $6.30 (compare at $30)
Cardigans are one of my favorite articles of clothing to have in my closet. They are so versatile and can be used to make an outfit modest, keep you warm on a cool spring day, and be used with jeans or a dress. Having a simple navy blue cardigan is also a plus because navy goes well with so many items and colors.
Gianni Bini Flats – $12 (compare at $60)
I’m such a big fan of flats because they are comfortable and easy to pair with lots of different styles. As soon as I saw these glitter shoes I knew I needed to add these to my wardrobe. Don’t you love glitter?
Cynthia Rowley for T.J. Maxx Jacket – $13.80 (compare at $60)
I love a good light jacket and that is exactly how I would describe this jacket I found. I love the stripes and the black and white, making it easy to style with lots of outfits. Adding a light jacket to my “cheat sheet” was perfect for my spring days in Utah.
Now my items aren’t available, but you can click on these links to search for shoes, tops, jeans and handbags they do have available.
I love how easy and cheap ThredUp is and think you should hurry over to find some cheap items for yourself. If you use my link here you can get $10 to spend just for signing up! AND they give you a 40% off discount on your whole first order! How awesome is that! I’d love to hear what items you would add to your spring cheat sheet! Did we have any of the same items? Let me know in the comments below!
Disclaimer: I received a $50 from ThredUp to help show my cheat sheet. All opinions are my own. I would never recommend a product to my readers that I didn’t truly use and love.
you are so fake it is ridiculous. you sound like a paid for advertisement. be honest. you don't need to pretend to love something more than you actually do to continue to get free stuff from a company. this makes me not want to shop somewhere
Oh I'm so sorry you think I'm fake but I really do love the products I'm posting about. I felt I was very honest, I even admitted that the pants were shorter than I wanted them to be and that I wish they had been longer. Thanks for continuing to read my blog!
Oh, Karli. I'm so sorry you need to deal with comments like that! Your enthusiasm never strikes me as fake – you just sound excited about the items you're writing about! I have loved following you on Instagram (@simplyalyshalynn) and your blog since I found you a few weeks ago, so keep up the big smile and great work!!
Thanks so much girl! I appreciate your kind comment, you really don't know how much it means to me! Hope you are having a great day!
