I am so excited to share one of my favorite photoshoots I’ve done for this blog! When I received this dress from Shabby Apple, I fell in love with the pretty color and how it has a slight shimmer about it.  It reminded me of a party dress that I would wear at Christmas time (probably why it is called the Nutcracker Dress), but could so easily be worn at other moments.  This was actually the dress I wore to church for Easter Sunday and I had many compliments on how amazing I looked.  Thanks for the help Shabby Apple! 😉

Not only is the color gorgeous, but the fit is wonderful.  I love that Shabby Apple offers petite sizes on their dresses because many shops don’t.  The dress went to my knees, which I love and the cap sleeves were another great modesty touch.  When I first put it on, the sides of the dress stuck out and I wondered if it would look awkward.  After I wore it for 30 minutes though, the sides stopped sticking out so prominently and then I had zero remaining concerns. It was only because it hadn’t been worn yet and wasn’t able to take complete shape yet. The best news about this dress is that it is currently on sale for $20 off!

For the photoshoot I wanted to have a city feel where you could see the skyline.  Charissa Lee Photography is amazing and took me to the Salt Lake City library where we were able to go on the roof and take pictures against the skyline.  I love how the pictures turned out and how well Charissa captured my vision. Adding my new clutch from Daisy Faye Designs was a fun touch as well.

Since Shabby Apple is so amazing, they are giving away $50 to their shop! Head over to my Instagram to enter! This will be a giveaway you won’t want to miss!

Where did you get your Easter dress from this year? I’d love to hear!

The wind got a little crazy during the shoot and I had a Marilyn Monroe moment! When we tried to recreate it the wind stopped! Of course right?

Disclaimer: I received this Green Nutcracker Dress from Shabby Apple to review.  All opinions are mine alone. I would never recommend a product to my readers that I didn’t truly love and use myself.
