I have a love/hate relationship with the month of August. One of the reasons I hate August is because it means that school is starting up again and my summer is over. Don’t get me wrong I love teaching Kindergarten, but summer break is so nice. I love August because it’s my anniversary month (yay for August 1st), College Football starts, and fall clothes are starting to hit the stores! I love fall clothes. The layering, the booties, the colors, and the variety of modest outfits you can find get me so excited to start shopping for my fall wardrobe.
Today I want to share with you an outfit I put together that includes some of my favorite fall transitional pieces from my closet.
My top is a navy blue that is great for both summer and fall depending on how you style it. I love having a shirt I can wear year round, but easily make it fit in with each season. I received it from The Mint Julep Boutique and love the high-low feature along with the pretty lace overlay in the front. It is really comfortable as well and the loose fitting style gives a cute and feminine look. It is sheer and to make the shirt completely modest, I placed a white layering tee from DownEast Style underneath. It fits true to size and I have the size small and it fits exactly how I like.
For my shoes I wore a pair of brown booties from Forever Young Shoes. Booties are a great fall transitional piece and are really popular right now. I went to Forever Young Shoes at South Towne Mall a few weeks ago and they were having a variety of booties for only $10! I’m not sure if that sale is still going on, but definitely check them out for a great deal.
I wore my Bela Bracelets as well, which are perfect for wearing my hair elastics while still looking cute. I also love how now I don’t need to wear my elastics on my wrist and have them leave an indent on my wrist. I highly recommend these! You can use code “summer” for 20% off until August 31st! Sometimes I just wear them because the bracelets are so cute, not even when I need an elastic. Adding a cute gold necklace from Blue J Boutique gave a fall touch as well.
Didn’t these pictures turn out amazing? Charissa Lee Photography did an incredible job. Charissa and I went to The International Piece Gardens in Salt Lake City and this easily ended up being one of my favorite sessions we’ve had.
What are some of your favorite fall transitional favorites? I’d love to hear below!
