For me February means another month of busy season. Another month of Kyle out of town. Another month of busy weekends and somewhat boring weekdays! haha As terrible as that opener was, I am happy with how February went this year. We were lucky because Kyle was only gone for half of February and the other half he only worked until about 10 pm instead of past midnight, so I’ll call that a success! Weekends were our favorite and Kyle only had to work one Saturday and one Sunday this month! He even was able to leave by 8 on that Saturday so he could still come to the Utah basketball game with me!

I spent most of my time working during the weekdays, while the pups hung out under the desk by my feet. I started my music classes and they are really fun for me! You can see all the details on those classes here.

I went to the Albion Fit Swim Soiree event with my best friend and sister in law, Emma. The new line was so fun to see and we even got in the background of Donovan Mitchell’s instagram stories while there! haha #almostfamous

Kyle was gone over Valentine’s Day so we weren’t able to do our traditional VDay date until this past weekend, in March! So that review will happen during our March update. You can read about the tradition here. We did have a Valentine’s Day date night at our church that Kyle was in charge of that turned out great. That evening we went to see Happy Death Day 2U with our friends!

One of my friends, Jess, had a baby shower that I attended. It’s so fun to see my friends having babies! I’m also so grateful that I met so many of these wonderful girls from Instagram.

Journey Five opened up their first ever retail location. I remember shopping their stuff out of the owners home 8 years ago! It’s so cool to see her grow and help support her along the way. Their new location is in Layton, if you haven’t been, you should stop by!

Kyle surprised me with a weekend getaway to downtown Salt Lake City with a night stay at the Little America hotel, which is where we stayed the night we got married. It was so nice. We spent time watching sports, did a little relaxing, went to bed early, ate out at a nice restaurant, and just took time away from our to do list!

As terrible as busy season is, I’m grateful for how awesome Kyle is while dealing with it. He always makes sure that he puts me first and helps me feel like I can get through it! Here’s to almost being done! (fingers crossed)
