We’ve all been there….an online boutique, not sure the size we should get, end up buying one and of course if doesn’t fit as well as you’d hope.  In today’s society we all love shopping online and the newest trends are online, but unfortunately it makes it really difficult to see what it will look like on before we buy it.  Let me introduce to you…The Dressing Space Boutique.

When I first started working with The Dressing Space Boutique I began to learn about all the exciting ways that set them apart as a boutique.  Today I am going to share an interview with the owner, Madison, to share some of the fun facts I learned about her and her boutique.

Karli: What made you want to start your own company?

Madison: I have always wanted to own my own boutique and also work for myself. I never enjoyed the feeling of someone else being in control of your work destiny, and being on my own enticed me because success was a direct reflection of the amount of work I put in. I longed for the freedom as well as the feeling of starting something on your own and growing it.

K: How did you come up with the idea for The Dressing Space Boutique?

M: I came up with the idea because I really had grown tired of ordering an item online and second guessing the fit, or getting it and realizing it was not what I had imagined. So, I wanted to try and create a way for girls to have a better idea of what they are buying. Nothing beats the experience of shopping in a store and being able to touch, feel and try on the item. So, I tried to come up with an idea that was as close to a full experience as possible. This included models that varied in size, videos to see the actual fit of the item and flow and lastly a sizing recommendation that we put together during photoshoots.

K: How is your company different than other boutiques?

M:We are different because of how we approach each product. When we post a product, we try to envision it from the customer perspective and what would make them feel great and excited about an item. This includes videos, different models and a sizing recommendation. When our customer receives their item, we include a personalized note to each and every person. Not two notes are ever the same! We want them to feel the joy and happiness of a new look as soon as they see their package!

(As a side note, they sent me the sweetest note when I got my package! It was tied up in cute ribbon and made me feel so excited about my product.)

K: How would you describe your boutique’s style?

M: We typically say that we offer contemporary style clothing and the latest fashion trends… but our style originates from the south!

K: If you could let people know something about you as an individual what would it be?

M: I am a dog lover! I have 4 dogs at home… and 3 of them are rescues. I strongly believe in providing a great home for dogs and love my fur babies!

(Another reason I knew I liked this boutique! I love my fur baby, too!)

As soon as I learned about their new system of sharing videos of their products I knew I had to check it out.  It is really awesome.  Here is an example here of a video: http://www.dressingspace.com/collections/dresses/products/need-you-now-dress-multi

They also have a lot of different booties, which is one of my favorite trends this year! These “Can’t Keep Your Eyes Off My Booties” are so cute! I love wearing them with a lot of different outfits. They are fun with dresses, skirts, jeans, and leggings.  You can buy them here. You can use code “TEACHSHOPLOVE” for 30% off an item of your choice, too!  If you are feeling lucky and want a chance to win $20 to their shop head on over to my Instagram @teach.shop.love to enter!

Disclaimer: I received this pair of Can’t Keep My Eyes Off These Booties from The Dressing Space Boutique to review.  All opinions are mine alone. I would never recommend a product to my readers that I didn’t truly love and use myself.
