Teacher outfit posts are the reason that this blog was initially started. My Instagram use to be @teach.shop.love (now @everyday_ellis) and I would have my husband take a photo of me in my teacher outfit for the day and post where I got each item. It was simple, fun, and I gained so many fun teacher friends through the journey. I made the ultimate lookbook of teacher outfits that you can see here with over 40 outfits that teachers can wear to work everyday. That next year I made the choice to not go back to the classroom as a kindergarten teacher and pursue my dream of being a music teacher instead. (You can hear all about my teaching journey and why I decided to quit here.) I still consider myself a teacher and many of the outfits I wear now in my music studio (Notes Music Studio) are still great outfits for the traditional classroom. Today I am sharing 5 teacher outfits for every school event that may come your way this year. From Field Trips to Parent Teacher Conferences, I have you covered.
I was given these clothes from Maurices in exchange for a review on my Instagram. All opinions are my own.
Outfit #1: Back To School (First Day of School/Back To School Night)
This first day of school look is my favorite out of all the teacher outfits I’m going to post about today and for good reason. Isn’t this dress so cute? I love the floral pattern and the detail on the sleeves (it laces up). I added a floral vest for added texture and details and finished it off with the cutest blush pink booties. I’m the type to dress up slightly for back to school, so a dress is a go for me. I like to make it a little casual though because I don’t want to overly dress up! ha The best part of this dress is that as it gets colder, or if I’m moving around a lot one day, I can wear leggings underneath the dress and it still looks just as cute.

Outfit #2: Parent Teacher Conferences
I love coming up with a parent teacher conference outfit. It’s so fun to show my style, but still look professional while meeting with the parents. That’s why I chose this fun colored blazer with floral top. The blazer adds an added professionalism, but I still feel like the bright colors and fun patterns fit with my girly and bright style (and personality).

Outfit #3: Field Trip
I always loved coming up with field trip outfits because they needed to be really versatile and most of the time able to let me move around really easy and keep track of the kiddos. That is why I went for something simple, but fun with the vest!

Outfit #4: Transitioning From Classroom To Evening Out
This is one of my other favorite outfits because of the colors and the print on the dress. I would wear dresses to work all the time as a teacher, even as a kindergarten teacher. I just found dresses so fun and girly, that I loved wearing them. The other reason I love dresses is because it makes it so much easier to throw on a cute jacket and change your outfit up from work attire to date night.

Outfit #5: On The Go Teacher Look
There are so many times where I was teaching that I’d need to run errands right after, or even now as a piano teacher I run all my errands in the morning and then immediately come home and work. This outfit is perfect for those days.
